     West Virginia Insurance Agency was founded  March 1, 1995 by M. Scott Johnson in Oak Hill, WV as a scratch Erie Insurance Agency. The agency was established with the sole purpose and philosophy of aspiring to be a leader and pinnacle of excellence in service. The goal is to  offer near perfect financial security to customers by the sale and service of insurance and associated financial products. The goal remains to   dif­ferentiate the agency by striving to exceed each customer’s expectations with  24/7  agent answered telephones every day all hours of the day.

    The hands on approach and many hours of home service sales paid a huge divident that allowed Scott to purchase  New River Insurance in 1998. One of the largest agencies in Oak Hill,  West Virginia serving policyholder since  the 1930's.  Scott operated this agency in Oak Hill until 2004. The agency operations moved to the 130 Brookshire Lane Beckley, WV the primary location today.  

The agency continues to thrive and the agency was fortunate to  purchase another insurance agency Morgan and Morgan Inc. in Roncevertte WV. Just  celebrating a  one year anniversary for this operation. West Virgina Insurance just celebrated its 15 year anniversary this year.   

      M. Scott Johnson, the agency owner, was born, reared and educated in Fayette County. Scott has earned a masters degree in business administration in addition to his designation as a Certified Public Accountant. Scott has  also achieved  the  Life  Underwriters Training Council (LUTCF) pro­fessional designation. Scott’s knowledge and experience in the insurance industry has been acquired by working as an insurance professional licensed in all lines of insurance. Scott has mastered insurance concepts and further advanced his insurance education and earned the CIC (Certified Insurance Councilor) degree. Most recent educational accomplishements include  all 4 parts mastered in the Certified risk managerr program with the National Alliance.  (Risk Transfer, Risk Financing, Risk Administration and Principles of Risk Management)  Scott education combined with experiance over the last 15  years has allowed the operation to expand operations in the area of Risk Management and consulting.                   

                                                                
    Scott’s insurance agency’s success is founded on a hands-on approach to customer service. The primary focus is listening to clients’ concerns and helping clients manage risk, explaining and reviewing policies in understandable terms, and most importantly, making helping our clients purchase products that are most suited to their needs while identify risk individuals and familys face.
